About Me
- Name: Kristen
- Location: Cleveland, Ohio, United States
I used to ache for all the pain in the world, and my pain kept me from reaching out. I hid instead. Then I let go of the negatives (am still letting go, as it is a gradual process) and began a life of positive thought and caring for others. This is how world peace will happen ... One heart at a time reaching out to others, spreading peace in ever-increasing circular waves, gradually encompassing the world.

Wow! That turtle almost looks like a "Florida Kooter" (or Florida Slider) like my rescue turtle "Yertle"! She is sleeping right now, ahhh.
From my limited ID book, I thought it was a "slider". There is another photo at an earlier post of a different turtle, and I have more I can scan in! Plus vultures and other birds and ... alligators. I have been wondering about the disparity of alligators being on a peace blog. They were at peace when I saw them, however!
"Peace" is one of those words that are defined by theri users.
Alligators are a part of nature, and while nature does hold peace, it also holds chaos and death. At times these things are inseperable.
The turtle is a Slider, a Flordia slider, could also be a yellow-eared slider.

This is true! Peace is not the same for everyone.
You speak the truth about peace and chaos. One really does need to have one to define the other! Obtaining a balance is the tricky part.
Thanks for the confirming ID on the turtles.
Oh! That reminds me. I have to look up a squirrel website. I will post it if it is as good as was reported in the local newspaper.
